Clinician Profiles
Belinda Edwards
BSc (Psych), Mapp Psych, M Psych (Clin), MAPS
I’m a Clinical Psychologist with over 27 years of experience working with children, young people, adults, and families. My approach is person‑centred and collaborative, and I aim to create a space where people feel safe, respected, and genuinely understood.
I’m fully trained in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, and I work with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, complicated grief, PTSD, parenting challenges, and the impacts of stress and trauma. I have particular expertise in childhood and complex trauma and dissociation, shaped by more than 25 years working in government and child protection.
I also complete cognitive and adaptive functioning assessments to help identify support needs, including assessments for NDIS access, school supports, and broader developmental planning.
Before joining Esteem Psychology, I worked as a senior government executive, and I remain passionate about values‑based leadership. I offer coaching and reflective supervision for leaders who want to strengthen their clarity, confidence, and wellbeing. I also provide clinical supervision to provisional, early‑career, and experienced psychologists.
I’m committed to helping people grow with compassion, insight, and a sense of possibility.
